Cocktail #009- Warthog
A fall cocktail using gin, pear, and baking spices.

As the autumn harvest occurs, certain flavor profiles stand out such as pear. This cocktail brings the flavors of fall together with gin rather than barrel-aged spirits like bourbon or rye. However, be careful when you char the rosemary sprig because I inadvertently set off my fire alarm (one is located in my home bar so it was not that difficult).

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz gin (I used Barr Hill Gin because it is infused with honeycomb to help round out the autumnal flavor profile)
3/4 oz St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur
3/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz honey syrup
Technique
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with some cubed ice.
Shake for 10-15 seconds and strain into a rocks glass over fresh cubed ice.
