Cocktail #014- Flannel Shirt

Not only is this a great autumnal cocktail but it also uses Scotch as its primary component. The Scotch plays well with the apple cider and lemon juice while the amaro and allspice dram punch up the cocktail with some other complex flavors.

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 oz blended Scotch whisky

• 1 1/2 oz apple cider

• 1/2 oz Averna amaro

• 1/4 oz lemon juice

• 1 barspoon Demerara syrup

• 1/2 teaspoon allspice dram

• 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Technique

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with some cubed ice.

Shake for 10-15 seconds and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
